MONTENEGRO: SONG REVEALED

This was supposed to happen on Saturday, but it has finally happened today! Montenegro has revealed their song for Eurovision 2015, the 40th participant to be revealed and thus the very last one. It was confirmed back on November that Nenad Knezevic, aka Knez, would represent Montenegro in Eurovision 2015, and later it was also confirmed that Zeljko Joksimovic would write his entry. Zeljko has participated in Eurovision as a composer four times: twice with songs he sang himself for Serbia (Lane moje in 2004 when he came second and Nije Ljubav Stvar in 2012, coming third) and twice writing songs for others, coming third with Lejla for Bosnia & Herzegovina in 2006 and sixth for his home country Serbia with Oro in 2008. This year, he's written the song Adio, which will represent Montenegro. It is a dramatic Balkan ballad.

MACEDONIA: DANIEL TO SING IN ENGLISH

MACEDONIA has finally decided to defend their song in English. Daniel Kajmakoski won Skopje Fest back in November singing Lisja esenski, but finally the MRT, the Macedonian broadcaster, and the artist, have decided that he'll sing the English version of the song in Vienna. The song has also been revamped and a videoclip has been made. The song has also been shortened to make it fit the EBU requirements.

EUROVISION 2016 PRELIMINARY DATES CONFIRMED

Today, the Heads of Delegations are meeting in Vienna, so important announcements are being made. One of those is the confirmation of the preliminary dates for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Next year, the semi-finals will take place on May 10th and 12th, and the final is scheduled for May the 14th. These dates are exactly the same as those of Eurovision 2011.

AUSTRIA TO PERFORM #14

AUSTRIA will see their song I am yours performing in the 14th spot in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, as has been decided on today's draw. In recent years, a draw has determined the position in which the host country has had to perform their song (last year, Denmark obtained the 23rd spot). The Makemakes will represent Austria with the song I'm yours

AUSTRALIA'S DEBUT PRESENTED

AUSTRALIA has presented its debut song for Eurovision! Guy Sebastian, who had already been appointed as the Australian representative in their first (and last if they don't win) participation in the European contest as a guest nation with an EBU wildcard. Tonight again is the song he'll sing in Vienna, an attractive song which could easily earn lots of points, but not a winner.

ALBANIA CHANGED SONG

ALBANIA became Belarus for one day and they have changed their Eurovision song, getting rid of Diell, the song that won Festivali i Kengës, due to problems with the writers of the song, so Elhaida Dani will sing I'm Alive, a more uptempo song. For now, the bookies and the fans have reacted positively to the change, we'll see if it works in Vienna.

AZERBAIJAN: ELNUR IS BACK

AZERBAIJAN has selected the popular singer Elnur Huseynov to represent them in Eurovision 2015 with yet another ballad. Elnur is not a newcomer in the Eurovision world, as he has already represented his country, that was back in 2008 when he came 8th with the song Day after day. Now, he's going to Vienna and he'll sing Hour of the wolf there.

SAN MARINO UNVEILS SONG

SAN MARINO, represented by their two JESC acts so far, Anita Simoncini and Michele Perniola, has finally unveiled the song that will represent them in Eurovision Chain of light is the name of the song, which is nothing special and has made eurofans from all the corners of the world start missing Valentina Monetta (who will be in Eurovision 2015 reading out the votes from the Sammarinese jury, though).

A MILLION VOICES IN RUSSIA

RUSSIA had already selected Polina Gagarina to represent them in Eurovision 2015, and even a snippet of the song had been available to listen, but it has been today when the largest country in the world has revealed its song for Vienna. A million voices is the name of the song, entirely in English as usual. It gives a positive (and somewhat hypocrital) message and it features a lovely video clip.
